For rights and other enquiries, please contact Sophie Byrne,

Since 1996, much of my time has been devoted to writing and illustrating picture books, which have reached a broad readership in Australia and overseas, having been translated into several languages. While I describe them as 'picture books', they are not specifically children's literature and appeal to a general audience (for further comment on this, click here).

While I favour my own texts, having been a writer for as long as I've been an artist, some books are collaborations with writers such as Gary Crew, John Marsden and Philip Pullman. A few others are critical works about painting and drawing: The Bird King, Sketches from a Nameless Land and the exhibition catalogue Suburban Odyssey.

All titles are still in print, available through most book stores and online. More information about foreign editions can be found by checking sites of the publishers listed below.
